Product Details

'A Comprehensive Guide to Punjabi Verbs'- a brand new resource book for students.

This is the first book to provide a comprehensive conjugation guide for Punjabi verbs. It will help students conjugate new verbs themselves, especially irregular ones. For verbs that have irregular past tense forms, the only way to know how to conjugate them is to ask a native speaker, there is no literature in existence for this. Punjabi teachers have also been demanding more resources for years and verb conjugation is something that they desperately need to teach the GCSE and A-level syllabi.

The author is Asa Willougby, a PhD candidate in the department of Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Michigan. Asa's main areas of research focus on language pedagogy, language maintenance, diaspora studies.

Asa has over 4 years’ experience as a language teacher including 3 years teaching Punjabi at King’s College London, two years teaching French, German and Urdu at St Dunstan’s College London, one term teaching Punjabi at Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara Southall and a number of ongoing years teaching private students.

Asa has also taught Punjabi for the South Asian Summer Language Institute at the University of Wisconsin-Madison., and worked on curriculum development of Punjabi and French for St Dunstan’s College, the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Nishkam School.
